Adi Shakti: Form & Glory
“या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शक्ति रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥”
Adi Shakti is both formless (Nirakar) and with form (Sakar). She is the divine energy of Brahman, known by many names such as Parashakti, Mahamaya, and Jagadamba.
The invisible, all-pervading cosmic energy—beyond shape and form, like Brahman itself.
Adi Shakti appears in various divine forms, such as:
- Mahalakshmi – Goddess of wealth and prosperity
- Mahasaraswati – Goddess of knowledge and wisdom
- Mahakali – Goddess of time, power, and transformation
Together, these three forms complete the Tridevi, governing the three cosmic qualities (gunas): Sattva (purity), Rajas (activity), and Tamas (inertia).
Adi Shakti is the absolute source of power and divine consciousness. She plays a pivotal role in the acts of creation, preservation, and dissolution of the universe.
Worshipping Shakti helps devotees invoke the divine feminine energy within themselves. It promotes spiritual awakening, inner strength, and protection from obstacles.
Adi Shakti represents the divine spark that exists in all things. Through devotion and surrender to Her cosmic grace, one attains liberation and absolute peace.
